Bumi Sehat Haiti Restructuring |
It was with a heavy heart that the Bumi Sehat board made the decision re: volunteer restructuring. Bumi Sehat entered Haiti bringing all of our resources and reputation, and yes - good work has been done there and will continue. Josh, Kelly and Heather were innovative,energetic volunteers for Bumi Sehat Haiti. What is not being said is that Kelly, Josh and Heather no longer wished to work under Bumi Sehat, and we bless them. Please understand that giving reasons and explanations could only cause pain. Bumi Sehat wishes only to create peace and continue operating the Childbirth clinic in Jacmel, to best serve the Haitian patients and Haitian staff. Our donors trust us to do this in the most kind,efficient, loving way. Please have faith and support us through this time of transition. I ask all of our International Friends and Family to avoid all conflict, as that would only take precious energy away from patient care.

The Bumi Sehat Team in Haiti has informed us of their urgent need for medical supplies for the new clinic in Jacmel, Haiti in response to the devastating earthquake on January 12, 2010.
- BREAST PUMPS (not used)
- 2 Ambu Bags
- Cytotec
- 50 bulb suction
- Pediatric feeding tubes
- 3.0 chromic gut sutures

Disaster Response to Earthquake in Haiti | Jan. 2010 |

Bumi Sehat has sent a small team of medics, including midwives, into Haiti. Our field experience after the Tsunami and earthquakes in Indonesia has prepared us to be effective in the relief of suffering and trauma on the ground in disaster zones.
